Congratulations for everyone!

Hi there, how all is going?

This week is your very first week at school and I am sure that you are very happy of being with friends and teachers. I have to say that I miss you a lot. I send you a warm and huge virtual hug!

Anyway, I have good news for all of you. Your project "I spy with my little eye" has won a Quality Label and that means that you made a great effort although the confinament in April, May and June.

When school finished I did a report with all your tasks and activities and the eTwinning National Agency has recognized your hard work. So, I want to congratulate you for your outstanding job.  That means that every effort has its rewards. HOORAY for all of you!!!

Summer time

We don't know how but the end of the school year has arrived. I know that you want to switch off from school but I recommend you to keep your English alive! How? You can listen to English songs using Lyrics Training, you can read Travelers through Milton Education and you can use videos to improve your fluency. The videos below are examples. Try to match the tone, speed and even the accent (if you can). It doesn’t matter if you miss a few words, the important thing is to keep talking.

I encourage you to choose a short part of different shows and repeat it line by line!

END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR

Kindness&feelings

Hi there, how is all going? A new week, a new face for your blog. Do you like it? By the way,
we have to finish our eTwinning project but, as I told you last week, I am planning an on line meeting with Turkish and Georgian students. I will publish the date as soon as I know.
Meanwhile, June is here and I want to encourage you to measure how much kind are you?
Is it going to be difficult? Not at all!

Pay attention to the image below,

What does KINDNESS mean? It is a quality of being friendly and generous.
and I encourage you to be kind as much as you can!

GUIDE TO BE KIND
Print this picture and colour the appropiate drawing when you do or show your kindness. If you do not have a printer, you must write the action on a paper.
Keep calm and take your time because maybe this activity will be finished at the end of the week. Do not worry, upload your picture to Google Classroom at least when you have half of the activity painted or written.

Idioms and idioms

Hi everyone! We finished idioms drawings. HOORAY!! We have worked around 5 themes: food, body, animals, health and nature. Here you have a digital publication where you will find all of them (if you think that it's too small, use the zoom once you open the digital publication).

After that, I encourage you to play a game

If you want to choose different themes, here you have another board game. In this version, you have to decide the idiom themes. Then, you will have to draw your cards. After that, you will have to roll the dice and move along the board according to the number. If you land on orange/red/yellow grid, pick a card and say the idiom.

Global recycling Day!

Hi there,
yesterday, May 17th was the Global Recycling Day. UNESCO established that day to remind us all of the importance of reducing, reusing and recycling. So, from this post I want to encourage you to reuse cloth at home. How?
Making a bag from an old T-shirt!

MATERIAL:
old t-shirt
scissors

Lay your old t-shirt flat and use a pair of scissors to cut off the sleeves, neck area (so that it aligns with the sleeve cuts), and the bottom.

Now cut little strips on the bottom of the t-shirt (look at the photo)

TIP: While you are cutting the fringe take both the front and the back layer of the t-shirt so that you have pairs of strips.

Tie the strips together at the bottom in pairs until all of them are tied together and the bottom of the t-shirt is closed. Now you have a bag!

NOTICE: I cannot repeat the activity because I do not have another old t-shirt but I advice you to cut long strips because the idea is to have bags like the ones I show you in the photo below.

When you finish, upload a photo to your padlet.
